About Lisa M

I have four children, age 27-15, and teaching experience from preschool through high school. I also homeschooled my children for about 10 years- this can be a controversial choice, but despite the downsides, it meant that I not only couldn't get enough of the joys of creating an exciting learning environment for my children as well as myself, but also that I developed some mad organizational and time management skills. Some of my favorite things to do as a mom were reading billions of books, singing, arts and crafts, and being outside. Those things were MY delight that being a mom gave me an excuse to do! I absolutely love filling a child's day with learning, nurturing, movement, fun, and wonder. Apart from my passion for teaching and learning along with little ones, I am passionate about Spanish and the cultures of Spanish-speakers. I love being outside and enjoying nature, including birding, hiking, walking, and jogging. I like to buy books almost as much as I like to read them.
