About Lisa

I'd describe my personality as caring, patient, and kind. I like kids! I like teaching them new things! I have raised 8 children. And now am blessed with grandchildren who I love spending time with. I love to play games, read, sing, and laugh with kids of all ages. Crafts are fun. Playdoh is fun. Puzzles and blocks are fun. Games are fun. Learning new things is fun! I started working with children when I did home childcare while I raised my children. I watched preschool children, as well as school age children. Then I got my Bachelor Degree in Liberal Studies and began substitute teaching in the elementary and middle schools. Then my daughter had her first child, and I decided to stay home and watch her so her parents could work, until her sister moved in and voluntarily took over. I substituted many more years. Now I am looking for a family that needs childcare. I like substituting, but it doesn't pay that well in Tennessee and I would rather spend my time working in a home with kids.
