About Lisa

I have been caring for children for 15 years, and it is genuinely my calling. My greatest accomplishment was working with a family of four for six years - two boys and two girls - starting when the youngest was just 2 months old and the oldest was 6. Watching them grow, learn, and become little humans over those years was one of the greatest gifts of my career. Outside of that long-term placement, I have cared for many families across the Chicago and Detroit areas, supporting children from infancy through school age. I relocated back to Michigan in 2022 and have been here since. During the school year, I work as a Paraprofessional at a local school district, supporting students with behavioral and developmental needs. I am also a certified yoga teacher, and one of my favorite things to bring into my time with kids is yoga and mindful movement. I am currently available for summer placements and would love to connect with a family looking for experienced and reliable childcare.

Lisa took care of our 11 month old full-time for a week while our nanny was on vacation. She was on time or early every day. On her first day, we had just driven 14 hours the day before and baby was out of sorts - fussy, not napping. Lisa just dove right in. She has a great attitude, asks good questions, demonstrated excellent judgment, and was endlessly kind and sweet with our little one. I would hire her back in a heartbeat.
