About Lucia

I was beyond blessed to have Lucia ("Lucy") care for my mother for several years. From the beginning she exceeded every expectation. We often wondered how we could have been so lucky to have found her. Lucy cared for my mother with humor, grace, kindness, dignity and love. Her "go-getter" attitude and endless positive energy kept my mother active with walks, outings, and appointments. She was more than a caregiver. She was an energetic and engaging companion who found ways to make my mother’s days interesting, stimulating and joyful. Lucy also had a wonderful way of getting my mother to do things without ever making her feel pushed or managed, which for anyone who knows what it’s like to care for an elderly person is a rare and treasured gift. Lucy was dependable, thoughtful, trustworthy, incredibly hardworking, and always willing to do more than was expected. She has excellent judgment and can take initiative making her a true partner in the caregiving process. But perhaps most importantly, Lucy truly cares. She became - and will always be - a part of our family. If you are as lucky as we were to find Lucy, you will gain an exceptional caregiver and a bright, reliable, loving presence in your whole family's life.
