About Lucy

Hi I'm Lucy! I think it's such a privilege to have roles in kid's lives to teach them things they'll keep with them forever and to help them build memories that they'll look back on fondly! I first started taking care of kids when my brothers were born 8 years ago, and have held a consistent position babysitting for a family friend who had a 4-year-old. I would help out a couple weekends a month, spending 10 hour days at their house while feeding, entertaining, and teaching their child. I recently joined a program, where we go weekly to an elementary school and teach first graders about environmental stewardship. It's been a very enriching experience that's helped me become more proficient in managing groups of kids and in how to teach them thoroughly. My skills include educating children, keeping them engaged through enriching activities, and keeping spirits high throughout the day. I love to do crafts and play games with the kids that lets their imaginations fly!
