About Lynne

Hi, my name is Lynne. I have worked in an intellectually impaired and multi-handicapped special needs classroom (grade 3-5) for 3 years. I have extensive experience with emotional and physical limitations working with individuals 1:1 and in a group setting. In the classroom, I design and implement behavior redirection methods to remediate problematic issues. I also provide guidance and support based on the child's specific needs that cater to their individual personality and goals. As much as I engage with educational practices, I believe experiencing joy and exploring the world around us is just as important, if not more. I would say the most important quality I have is patience. With patience, I am able give a child the time and space they need to calm their brain and body to come to reach a reasonable solution that fits their needs and wants. I hope to bring some of the techniques and tools I have learned to someone's family who will benefit from it. :)
