I started out helping my step dad with daily activities and personal hygiene, that lead to working with a few seniors privately, most recent a woman that I visit now, only one day per week. Helping with shopping, doctors appointments, cleaning, anything needed she can't do herself I am comfortable with pets and medication reminders. Anything your family needs help with that your loved one can't do on their own. Just being a companion and a friend makes the elderly feel good about themselves and perhaps motivate them to be more active or social.
