I began volunteering with seniors in high school at a nursing home. Further, I bathe my grandmother and take her out to dinner and to her appointments on weekends that I am home. This has given me experience with wheelchairs and walkers and bath safety. Unfortunately, the bulk of my experience comes from the month I needed to care of my ailing great aunt who had cancer and dementia last year. I help not only with the physical needs of those in my care but also offer compassion and companionship.
