About Maddie

Learning isn't one-size-fits-all, and I'm passionate about tailoring my approach to each student's unique needs. With a graduate degree and 3 years of experience, I focus on building confidence and a love for learning in Math and English. I actively listen to students and vary my teaching strategies, using visual aids, hands-on activities, and discussions to create an engaging learning environment for elementary schoolers. I celebrate small successes, break down complex problems, and encourage open communication with both students and parents. Witnessing that "aha!" moment is the most rewarding part of tutoring. I have a car and am comfortable with pets, and I'm available to tutor online, at the library, or at a community center. I'm CPR and First Aid certified.
