About Madelene

Hello! My name is Maddie, I am a UCSD grad on the path to becoming a child psychologist. I practice gentle and positive discipline techniques and have a passion for instilling confidence and self regulation skills in children. I began babysitting at age 11, and haven't stopped since! Over the years, I have gained experience caring for children ages 3mo. to 12 years, and have cared for children with varying degrees of special needs. I have had the great opportunity to care for twins on multiple occasions. Prior to moving to college, I taught dance to children ages 3 to 10 at Kid's'n'Dance Lafayette. I have also volunteered as a camp counselor at an outdoor girl scout camp called Diablo Day Camp, where I had fun helping to manage groups of 20 4-5-year-olds and four 3-year-olds and keep them happy and healthy throughout the fun camp day! I've had experience doing temporary nanny jobs and recurring babysitting jobs.
