About Maeve

I'm a big sister to three siblings, so I had lots of experience babysitting growing up. Although my degree is in Urban Studies and Planning, I have found over time that I really enjoy working with kids of various ages, which led me to work as a preschool teacher, tutor, and summer camp counselor. I like to keep kids engaged with hands-on experiences, especially involving nature. I trust that children learn through the process of making mistakes, and I offer guidance and support rather than scolding. As the daughter of a chef, I love to cook and I have a special awareness of allergies and dietary restrictions. I am also willing to help out with housekeeping and chores, as well as homework/tutoring needs! I have a severe allergy to dogs but I will care for hypoallergenic dogs, cats, and other animals. Although I don't have a drivers' license, I am in the process of learning. I travel some weekends, but otherwise I am flexible and willing to work with your family's schedule!
