About Maija

I have an overwhelming respect for the elder population due to the wisdom they've acquired about life, hearing life stories, perseverance, and simply because being vulnerable and having others assist in activities is very respectable and beautiful! Caring for a family member full time is tough. I'd love to be able to provide support and consistency. I'm also looking to provide plenty of mental stimulation, physical activity support and respect any request a family has for the person I'm caring for. I started caring for seniors when I started working as a PSA at Mission. I've had many experiences sitting with patients who have dementia. I found it absolutely beautiful and it inspired me to get my CNA certification. I'm working in this field to care for others as opposed to just working for money. I am very personable and enjoy CONNECTING as much as I enjoy physically assisting. My skills include ambulation assistance, dementia care, and physical care (bathing, feeding, mouth care)
