About Makarena

We have known Maka for over 10 years, and she has been an incredibly consistent and trusted presence in our children’s lives. We first met her through the children’s programs at Deer Valley Resort, when our kids were toddlers. Even then, it was clear how naturally she connected with young children and how attentive and capable she was. Because of the confidence we had in her, we began asking Maka to care for our children in the evenings during our visits. She consistently provided safe, reliable care—feeding them, keeping them active and engaged, and creating a calm, positive environment. When we moved full-time, Maka continued to be a trusted sitter for our family as our children grew. She is truly wonderful with kids of all ages and adapts easily to their changing needs. Now that our children are older, they don't need a sitter. However, we trust Maka in our house when we are out of town. Maka is incredibly dependable, responsible, and kind. She has a calm, steady presence and exercises excellent judgment. She has been a true gem for our family, and I recommend her wholeheartedly to any family looking for a trusted caregiver.
