About Makayla

Hello! I will be available starting September 1st for nannying in the greater Burlington area. I have been in childcare for 10+ years. I specialize both in infant care as well as behavioral support and emotional recognition in kids 2 and up! I have worked in many different dynamics. I've worked in childcare facilities, teaching arts programming (ages 0-14 years), counseling in placement facilities (teens), as well as short term and long term private care. My priorities in childcare develop based on the unique abilities of the child cared for, as well as working with accessible goals and resources with families. I push to celebrate the diversity in what it means to be a household that works for each family, and strive to collaborate and brainstorm to support your day to day lives both while I'm there and when we complete our time together.
