About Makayla

My name is Makayla and I am a 21-year-old early childhood education student that loves helping little minds grow! I have been working in childcare for the past 5 years as a teacher/nanny. I specialize in infant and toddler care but I also have worked with older ages. I am CPR certified as well as MAT certified through New York State and I have had years worth of hands on training when it comes to teaching and caring for children in a way that suits their needs. I started working with kids when I was 17 years old and something just clicked for me right away. It's great watching little ones grow their personalities while discovering all the new things around them and I have been doing childcare ever since! One thing you should know about me is that I love to teach kids through play and artwork, it is such an open ended way for kids to develop their brains as well as learn how to be independent and confident in themselves.
