About Makayla

Hello, I have over five years of childcare experience, including two years as a live-in nanny caring for children from newborn to age 5. I support development through play, learning, and consistent routines, and I hold a degree in Human Development and Family Science. I'm adaptable, calm, and work closely with parents to meet each child's individual needs while maintaining a safe, organized environment and assisting with household tasks. I've also worked with elementary students, leading hands-on composting activities and teaching sustainability, as well as providing one-on-one reading support to build skills and confidence. In my free time, I love being in nature, finding fun new activities, and exploring food and music. I love bringing that same energy, creativity, and joy into my work with children.
