About Makena

I honestly haven't known what I wanted to do with my life yet and I while I was on the job hunt and found a job in childcare. What I thought was going to be a part time job ended up being a full time job where I ended up growing a huge passion for working with kids. I've always worked around kids through my love of volleyball. But with my previous experience with super young ones, I'm comfortable caring for kiddos ranging from toddlers to preteens. I'm calm, creative, organized, friendly, and dependable. When communicating with parents and enforcing rules I'll follow whatever the parents are comfortable with. I do tend to like the more gentle parenting method. I enjoy playing outdoor sports and physical games, as well as board games and puzzles, with kids. My training includes First Aid and CPR Training. In addition to childcare, I can help with cooking, meal preparation, carpooling, light housekeeping, and travel. I hope to hear from you soon:)!
