About Malita

Hi! My name is pronounced Muh-Lee-Tuh. I am a Political Science major and Early Education minor. I have about two years of experience of working with youth and children in the educational field but I've been around kids all my life as I am the oldest American born child in my family. l currently work as a Day Care / After-School teacher for Kindergarten aged students and First through Fifth grades. However, I do have experience working with youth all the way up until their Senior year of high school. I've worked as a Teacher's assistant for a non-profit that partners with Elementary and Middle Schools and a Trio program that partners with High Schools. Outside of childcare, I am a retired athlete. I played four sports in high school and one year of college level basketball. I also cook and am a creative- I love to draw and write, for a really long time I wanted to be an Author. But now my passion lies with politics! I still write when I can, for fun and peace of mind.
