About Maliyah

Hi! My name is Maliyah, and I'm 28 years old! I graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in Crime, Law, and Society and a minor in Biological Anthropology. For the past 3 years, I've been working as a one-on-one teaching aide in a Deaf and Special Education classroom. The grades range from K-5th grade. I'm fluent in American Sign Language and love teaching children signs to support communication, language development, and connection. As the oldest sister by 10 years, I've had plenty of experience helping care for my younger brothers, that are now 17 and 16 years old! I swam for 5 years, started cheering in 8th grade & ended up cheering at the University of Oregon for 4 years. I also ran track my jr and sr year of high school. Being active is a huge part of my life! I enjoy reading, cooking, working out, ceramics, spending time outdoors, and adore all animals. I strive to create a safe, fun, and supportive environment where kids can learn, grow, and be themselves!!
