About Marcy

I started caring for seniors 15 years ago when a friend needed a caregiver for her client. She identified in me the care, compassion, and ability to be a senior caregiver. I worked part time caregiving until 7 years ago when I pivoted into caregiving full time. I like caring for seniors because I enjoy walking with them through the joys and trials of elder years. I would describe my personality as dedicated and patient. One thing you should know about me is I will advocate for your loved one making suggestions for adaptations at home, with their therapies, and in activities. My skills include stroke care, transfers if client can assist, bed bathing, incontience care, early dementia care, working with clients physical and occupational therapists and carrying those activities into daily routines. I'm looking for a position that has consistent days and times. In my spare time, I carry several leadership positions within my church and have a very full family life.

Marcy is more than a fabulous care giver. We hired Marcy to help take care of our dad after a stroke. Not only was she very dependable, knowledgeable and responsible, But she went above and beyond with every aspect of taking care of him. We totally put all our confidence in her and it was nice to know our dad was in good, nurturing hands. She helped with every modality, took him to Dr Appointments, had good communication with the Drs, physical and occupational therapies. Helped with personal hygiene, exercise at home, delicious meals, medicines, maintaining the house and managing the other caregivers and scheduling. It put our family at ease knowing that she knew our dads routine and put the focus on helping him get better and stronger to move forward and communicated well with the other caregivers to follow through with the same care. She did so with grace and a good sense of humor. She is now, like part of our family. Marcy would be an asset in helping with your loved one!
