About Margaret

Fostering the growth and development of children is my passion, as I believe a reliable mentor is essential to children's creativity and confidence. With three years of experience at a children's surf camp, my approach towards child care is that of great attention, safety, genuine fun and mutual respect. My background in university level English education allows me to engage with children through storytelling and collaborative writing exercises. I hold CPR Training and First Aid Training certifications to ensure a safe environment. I am happy to assist with carpooling, light housekeeping, and swimming supervision. I follow your lead regarding household rules and your preferred communication style for daily updates. I'd describe my personality as kind, nerdy, and passionate. In my spare time, I like to read, write, bike, go to Yoga, make music and craft. I have experience with CBT and DBT which allows me to have patience and deep understanding of those with neurodivergent tendencies.
