About Mariah

Hello, my name is Mariah, and I'm a recent grad from WashU! I have an open schedule for the next year or two. I'm excited to help :). Over the past 6 years and counting, I've had the privilege of nannying for children of all ages, siblings, and special needs. My experience has equipped me with expertise in childhood development, home health practices, and adjusting based on personalized needs. I've also worked in childcare centers managing classrooms of several children. I love meeting children at their level and getting to know their passions. I've been known to be goofy, imaginative, attentive, and creative with the children I work with. Often incorporating child-led play and Montessori principles into our activities. One of my favorite aspects of childcare is working on speech improvement/teaching new skills. We can sing songs, practice actively listening, learn new vocabulary, play pretend with toys, and gradually establish a routine with open parental input for any adjustments.
