In 2001, I took care of a 94-year-old senior suffering with pulmonary emphysema: bathing, feeding (she was fed through a feeding tube), house cleaning. I was a live-in care-giver for 2 years. In 2002, I took care of a couple in their 80's, the male suffered pancreatic cancer and the female was diagnosed with advanced Alzheimer's. I provided continuous care of the female for 14 years. My work involved, bathing, feeding, taking walks, trips to her doctor's appointments, managed and give them their medications, being a companion and doing light housekeeping! In May 2011, I received my license as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) . I speak Spanish & some English!! I continue working happily in taking care of my patient's lives giving them a better quality of life!
