I am a part-time babysitter/nanny originally from Chicago and (happily!) relocated to sunny San Diego, CA. I have over 11+ years of experience in caring for children of all ages (as young as 2 months and as old as high school!). I am also a Master-level educator with a teaching license and expertise in English/Language Arts & Reading. I am available for part-time childcare (primarily date nights), tutoring, and softball instruction/lessons. I have worked for hundreds of families and at several daycares in California, suburban Chicago, and northern Iowa.

Outside of nannying, I run a tutoring and educational services business as well as a content creation business. I have a clean background, excellent driving record, 2016 vehicle, and can provide a safe, friendly, and hands-on environment for your child(ren). I believe in games, activities, and active involvement are essential to being an effective caregiver!

Marisa is a wonderful sitter. My kids had so much fun with her. She was friendly and kind and we would most definitely hire her again. 

Marisa took fantastic care of our twin baby girls.  It was a big deal for both of us to go out for the first time but we felt confident the twins would be safe and well taken care of with Marisa.  We were thrilled with her professionalism and would definitely hire her again.

Marisa's first night with us was a date-night, post bedtime, window. What would usually be a quiet night of babysitting was a tough night for our little guy as he was battling a little cold and didn't sleep much while we were gone. Marisa was great at comforting him and even gave him medicine at our instruction - a tall order for a first night with a new baby, but she was great. Looking forward to having her help again!

Marisa took care of my 4 and almost 2 years old for over 3 months until I was able to reduce my hours at my work. She was really accommodating and really flexible with my work schedule. My family and I totally rely on her for those months. Kids and I trusted her and she was just so nice to be around. My girls enjoyed spending time with her. She spent lots of time with kids outside and we are really grateful to find her. Thank you. 

We love Marisa! She has done both daytime and nighttime work for us and always does a wonderful job. We have a 3 year old and a one year old (both very active) and she always takes very good care of them. I appreciate that she sticks to the sleeping and eating schedules and the house always seems to be in good order when we get home. I'll definitely keep hiring her as her schedules allows because I think she is great and very reliable. 5 stars!

We worked remote in San Diego this summer for several weeks.  We hired Marisa to watch our three children - ages 3 - 7 (one of our kids has autism and requires some extra patience)   Marisa is punctual, organized, great at communication, and really engaged our kids in multiple activities.  She watched our kids during various times of the day and did a great job on everything ranging from giving our kids lunch to doing their bedtime routine.  It is very clear that she is very experienced as a caregiver, and can handle any situation thrown her way.  We hire many caregivers, and Marisa is certainly top notch.  She went above and beyond in leaving our home clean, doing dishes, picking up, etc...  We would certainly hire her again and refer her to anyone.

Marisa watched our little one on short notice and she did an excellent job with our 8 month old! She took her for walks and was very attentive and caring. I would definitely hire her again!

Marisa is a responsible individual with a good head on her shoulders. My son was super comfortable with her and I never worried while he was under her care. I recommend her to anyone considering hiring her!

We are from out of state. My husband had a business trip in San Diego for the weekend. I contacted Marisa a week ago to make arrangements for her to babysit my two babies a couple of days. Marisa was very good at communicating back and forth with me. She babysat at our hotel we were staying at. She was very good with my 3 year old and 1 year old. They both loved hanging out with her! I wish she lived near me so I could hire her on a regular basis. I would definitely hire her again! Thanks Marisa!!!

Marissa was a wonderful addition to our family. She kept my daughter entertained with arts and crafts, baking, and small adventures. She responded to texts and calls promptly and went out of her way to help out where she could. 

We have Marisa come fill in for us. She's always on time and our daughter, that will be 3 in August, LOVES having her come play. She's very sweet and you can tell that they have fun together. We would definitely recommend hiring her. 

Marisa is very personable and my daughter adored her.  Marisa kept my daughter entertained with games, arts and crafts, reading out loud, and outdoor play.  She is reliable and willing to maintain any schedule or routine that you would like her to.

Marisa has been babysitting/nannying for us for a year. My boys absolutely ADORE her! My boys are very active and she keeps them entertained with games and playing outside. We at times have asked her to take them to appointments or practice, which she does willingly. She helps them with homework or anything else we ask her to do. I would definitely recommend her!

I enjoyed having Marisa work for my family. She was always playing, talking, singing, and doing crafts with my kids. Fun!

Marisa is someone I can always depend on. She is consistent, reliable, responsible, punctual, and dedicated. She is pleasant to work with and someone I would recommend in a heartbeat.

Marisa worked for me for 3 days before I let her go. Although she was great with my girls - playing, feeding & working on developing their strength, on day 3 she left 7 mins. early without letting me know. The girls were sleeping, as was I. When I woke up 7 mins. prior to her leave time, she was gone. She left the monitor outside of my office door because she thought she was being respectful for not waking me. Safety is my #1 concern for my children and I did not appreciate her leaving early without notifying me. I would've thought if there was a need for her to leave early she would've come into my office to let me know, but instead she decided to leave on her own. I don't think she understood the fact that a lot could happen in 7 mins. and that she was responsible for my children from start to end time. I was disappointed as she was a very nice and pleasant individual. But as mentioned before the safety of my children comes first. With that I let her go after Day 3.
