About Marissa

Hi Seattle families! My name is Marissa, and I'm looking for a wonderful family to nanny for! I'm a former preschool teacher who recently moved to Seattle after hiking the Appalachian Trail. I'm also a part-time Master's in Social Work student. I hold a Bachelor's degree that included coursework in child development and educational psychology. I have experience working with neurodivergent children and training in trauma-informed care. As a nanny, I focus on creating consistent routines, spending time outdoors, and building warm, meaningful relationships with children and their families. I'm also happy to help with light housekeeping and children's laundry. I'm certified in safe sleep, CPR, and first aid. I also have STARS training, conscious discipline training, and my food handler's card. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, arts and crafts, and reading.
