My name is Mark, and I'm a student at WWU who's looking for consistent work over this summer. I have experience working with all ages and varied settings, and I'm currently pursuing my bachelor's in psychology with aspirations as a pediatric clinical psychologist. I have reliable transportation and have been working with kids in some way for about the last 10 years. During the school year I'm employed at the YMCA of Whatcom county and won't be available for caretaking needs. My certifications are all recent, including and not limited to CPR, food handlers card, 30 hour developmental care, child abuse awareness, and more. I love to cook, read, and watch movies (my favorites as a kid were Bolt and WALL-E). I'm open to any inquiries and would love to set up a consistent schedule as soon as possible. Thank you for reading this far!
I had the privilege of being Marks supervisor at the Lake Stevens Boys & Girls Club, and I saw firsthand the positive impact he had on the children in our program every day. Mark has a natural ability to connect with kids and make them feel seen, heard, and valued. The children genuinely looked forward to spending time with him because he was fun, engaging, and always willing to join in their activities. At the same time, he provided structure, encouragement, and a positive example for them to follow. Mark took the time to get to know each child individually and was always patient, understanding, and supportive, even during challenging situations. As someone who worked with him closely, I always appreciated how dependable and caring he was. Parents trusted him, staff respected him, and the kids absolutely adored him. His kindness and genuine concern for the well-being of children were evident in everything he did. I would wholeheartedly recommend Mark to any family. Any child in his care would be fortunate to have someone who is not only responsible and trustworthy but who truly enjoys helping children grow, learn, and succeed.
