About Marlee

In 2012, I graduated from NC State University, summa cum laude, with Bachelor's degrees in both Anthropology and English. After graduating, I began babysitting regular for a family, with whom I still occasionally work. I also began work at a super market, where I learned food preparation and sanitation skills. In May 2016, I graduated from Alamance Community College with an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. From 2016 until 2018, I worked as a preschool teacher, first at the ACC Childcare center, then at The Learning Experience in Chapel Hill. Around 2018, I became a nanny for two boys. I was with their family for several years, until they started school. I have been with my current employers since 2020. In addition to my experience as a teacher and nanny, I can also provide developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities for kids from birth to age 6. I have my own collection of children's literature, toys, and games that I can bring to provide extra enrichment.

Marlee has worked with us for 5 years and has truly become a member of the family! We knew a few minutes into interviewing her that we wanted to hire her, and it is the best decision we could have made. She is excellent at what she does and loves our child as her own. Marlee is very loving, caring, and opens her heart to the children she cares for. She has gone above and beyond as a nanny and brought so much to the table that I did not even know to look for when hiring a nanny as a first time mom. As our child has grown, Marlee has met his needs in terms of teaching age appropriate skills/development and education as well. He has learned so much from her, and she has a magical ability to teach kids in a way that is enjoyable for them. She has been a true blessing for our family and we owe so much credit to her for helping us raise our child.
