She cared for him through the nights and entire weekends, often spending 24 hours a day with him, and she consistently went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable, safe, and happy. She was so caring and compassionate, treating our dad with kindness, patience, and genuine affection. She worked hard to keep him engaged and entertained, taking him out for ice cream, milkshakes, or a burger—little outings that brought him so much joy. She also made sure he spent plenty of time outside, which was his favorite place to be. One of the things we appreciated most was her excellent communication. Marlene kept my sister and me informed whenever she noticed any changes in our dad's behavior or condition, giving us peace of mind that he was receiving attentive, thoughtful care.
