I am an ENERGETIC empty-nester, longtime Wilmington resident, here to help on weekend / weeknight evenings! I would love to become the go-to weekend / occasional weeknight caregiver to 1-2 sweet families here in Wilmington. Having raised 2 grown boys, I'm dedicated to providing compassionate care customized to the needs of your family. I hired many sitters when my boys were little. I know what it feels like to put your trust in someone when you need a break. My hourly rate for caregiving starts at 25. 00 per hour for one child. Availability starts at 6:00 p.m. M-F, w earlier start times on Sat / Sun. With a graduate degree in education & certification / over 12 yrs as a 6-12 science teacher, I bring a wealth of knowledge, a good sense of humor, kindness, and expertise.

Right off the bat, Martha came in and put us at ease. She was able to engage with and manage our son and a visiting friend’s daughter in way that exceeded the expectations of both families. She’s a *great* communicator, fun to be around and very easy to talk to. She asked more thoughtful questions to prepare than any sitter we’ve worked with in the past, including what language to use with the kids to ensure she’d be consistent with their usual routines, which we really appreciated. She was reliable and super flexible (we had a few last minute changes to our evening plans) and kept us updated all night with photos. Most importantly she was super caring with our kids and meshed very well with our family. 100% recommend!!
