About Mary Beth

I am a compassionate, well educated, 60-year-old professional who has transitioned from my 35 year career as an architect to become a caregiver for seniors and families. I have been working full time for 3 years helping 2 couples. I have 23 years experience in child care (my 4 nephews!) and 16 years of experience as caregiver for my own mother who passed in 2019. While caring for my mother, I learned first hand how difficult it is to find good caregivers and what love and patience it requires. I love connecting with people. I run on empathy, optimism, kindness and humor. I am super responsible and conscientious, and have a lot of energy for errands, outings, cooking, etc. I believe the key to caregiving is to create moments of joy, however small, on a daily basis. I hope I can share my love for art, music (I play piano), literature and nature with the person(s) I am caring for.
