About Mary

Hi, I'm Mary! I'm Ed Tech III certified and a senior at USM studying Social and Behavioral Sciences (Counseling Concentration), and my goal is to become a registered play therapist! I have hands-on experience in home, school, and therapeutic settings with children ages 2 through 9. I completed 280+ hours in a therapeutic preschool classroom supporting children on the autism spectrum with needs including ADHD, speech challenges, and emotional regulation. I also co-facilitated child-centered play therapy sessions. I nanny and babysit regularly and I'm comfortable driving, highway included. I have experience with outings and day trips to playgrounds, libraries, the Children's Museum, and the pool, plus potty training, early learning activities, snacks and meals, and tidying up. My caregiving style is warm, playful, and very hands-on. Lots of crafts, sensory play, reading together, pretend play, and roughhousing and silliness for the kids who love it!
