I have 11 years of experience in senior care from live in to home care to senior facilities. I have a lot of care and love when it comes to taking care of an elder. Reason how I got into this and became a CNA in '05 til now is because of my sister and mother of helping them out when they were doing live ins and it naturally grew from there for me to just easily become a CNA. I never saw my grandparents they died before I was born, so that is also the reason why I grew into being around elders & taking care of them. I love talking to them, keeping them company but also doing all their needs that's needed for them. I work with elders from Alzheimer's to dementia, who are bed ridden, being on a wheel chair, & elders who have COPD also making sure they have their medication right on the days & time to take. I cook, clean, bathe, lifting, just anything that's needed for them.

Mary cared for my mother for two and half years. My mother has dementia and always wanted to escape, but Mary had a special talent for keeping her happy and making her feel secure. My mother had two falls, and Mary was great at dealing with Home Health, etc. She became part of our family and came to holidays and birthdays, to the point that she has a chair at my table. She's definitely a team player, and also great at caring for pets.
