Hello! My name is Mat (he/him), and I am passionate about providing a safe and comfortable environment for children to grow and learn. I am currently attending university here in the United States but I am a United States and Irish citizen who has lived in many countries throughout my life. I am adaptable, patient and above all else, kind. After university I plan to become a social worker in the U. S. or Ireland and work with children in the foster care system to find them loving homes. I have experience with children as young as 18 months and I am a fast learner and not afraid to try new things and put myself in new situations. I am an advocate for gentle and constructive discipline and learning and am adamantly opposed to physically disciplining children under any circumstances.

Mat watched our 1.5-year old son for two weeks while we had a gap in our child care coverage, and he was phenomenal. He was always punctual, always engaged, and extremely good at keeping our rambunctious toddler safe and happy. Mat is also a delight to have around the house and is always going the extra mile to make the household run more smoothly by tidying, fixing things, and cleaning. Our toddler still asks for him months later and he is now our go-to babysitter if we need a night out. I could not recommend him more strongly!!
