About Maureen

I have worked as a professional nanny for over a decade. I always loved spending time with children and helping them become their best self. At one point in my life I was studying to become a pk-4th teacher. Even though It didn't work out the courses I took in early childhood education, phycology, promising teachers, and others really helped me develop the way I care for and educated those in my care. My Philosophy as a care giver is gentle parenting. A few of the key values of gentle parenting are 1. treating the child with respect and empathy. 2. Modeling emotional regulation while helping the child regulate their emotions. 3. Setting clear boundaries that are enforced with empathy. My educational philosophy is based on curiosity. All children are inherently curious. I like to spend the time getting to know those I care for before creating a individual education plan based on their own curiosities. I currently seeking full time employment to last for at least 1 year.
