About Maya

I am an experienced childcare professional with over 9 years of experience as an afterschool professional, camp counselor, babysitter, nanny, outdoor education teacher, and behavior therapist. I am currently in grad school for a Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling, and am passionate about infusing mental health and SEL skills into my work with kids. I love working with kids because I love how much creativity they bring to everything, and I find it so exciting to see the way they experience the world! I am passionate about the outdoors and the environment, and have a wide range of skills I can teach in that area. I also love to do arts and crafts, and enjoy coming up with creative ideas and projects. I have my Bachelors degree in Psychology, and am certified in CPR, first aid, Wilderness First Aid, and lifeguarding.
