About Maya

I'd describe my personality as adventurous, funny, and bubbly. I like working with kids because it reminds me of my own childhood and how those memories continue to make me feel safe in my adult life. I'm looking for a job that allows me to connect deeply with a family and become a friend and support to the kiddos! I started working with kids seriously when I was a high school freshman. I worked as a nanny and founder of a summer camp :) In my spare time, I like to read and write. I'm hoping to become a screenwriter, so I love to write scripts. I also spend time with my friends by outdoors and in the city. One thing you should know about me is that I am on older sister of an incredible 9-year-old. I grew up helping raise her and am so grateful for all the opportunities she gave me to practice my childcare. My skills include meal prep and cooking, running innovative and fun activities, and social-emotional learning (I worked for a youth mental health non profit for 3 years!)
