About Maya

! My name is Maya, I grew up in the Bay Area, I studied liberal arts with a focus in dance and education. I am taking a long needed break from teaching and working in schools and looking to nanny. have been in the Nanny/childcare/teaching/Summer Camp world for 10 years and have experience with children from new born to double digits. I am also a Waldorf preschool teacher, which has taught me to pay attention to individual children's needs and to nurture through play, discovery, trust, communication, song/movement and attentiveness. I am very communicative and a good listener and good at problem solving. I don't mind helping with housekeeping and chores as well and always focus on cleaning up after ourselves and at the end of the day before I go. I speak fluent Spanish and English. I love working with children of all ages and am constantly amazed by their creativity. I have made so many important connections with my kids and their families over years. I am CPR/First Aid certified.
