About Mckenna

Working with kiddos is my passion in life! I graduated with my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education in May . I am looking for a part-time position with a great family with young children. I have been worked in licensed child care facilities for the past three years here in Florida. Previously, I worked as a Pre-K teacher in Washington state. My background with children began when I was 15, trained as a swim instructor/lifeguard. After that, I was a camp counselor in Maine, responsible for 9-11 children 24 hours a day for 8 weeks. I learned more about working with younger children in those 8 weeks than in any course I've taken. I am also CPR certified. I am a hard worker, enjoy cleaning, and cooking is one of my stronger accolades. If I don't know how to make something, I am an expert at following recipes! While I might be a little slow to get the hang of things initially, rest assured that once I have my footing, I am a non-stop force.
