About Megan

Please note that I am currently in the process of obtaining a teaching license, but I do have experience as a high school teacher. I am a new teacher with a highly varied educational background. I use a combination of empathetic teaching, fun activities, and differentiation to create an engaging learning environment and to foster a love of learning a drive for success in my students. I like tutoring because I like seeing the moment a child stops fearing the content they're learning and starts feeling empowered by it. I'm looking for a job that allows me to help a child reach their full academic potential. I started tutoring when I began teaching last fall. I love having one on one time to build relationships with students so I can figure out how to best help them learn! In my spare time, I like to do crosswords, listen to podcasts, and go on hikes! One thing you should know about me is that I speak some Spanish. My skills include engagement, differentiation, patience.
