About Megan

Megan and I messaged each other through this platform, we set up a video chat, she seemed very nice and she was interested and eager to start working with me and my family. Megan watched my dad for the first time on August 7th from 5:30-8:30pm. She was kind, seemed knowledgeable and detailed about her work, and provided more of her background and experience. From what I know, everything went well that night with her watching my dad and she seemed interested in continuing. The next day I texted her (we exchanged phone numbers a few days before) with additional dates and she committed to 8/11, 8/15, 8/18, and 8/23. The night of 8/10, I texted Megan to let her know my plans were canceled for the next day (8/11), but I could still use her if she still wants to come. Megan said she would still do it. The morning of 8/11 Megan texted me saying she woke up not feeling well and she doesn’t want to chance passing anything on to my dad but would still watch him if I needed her to. I responded and said no problem, I hope she feels better, and see her soon (I found out 2 days later that I never hit send so she got my texts on Thursday instead of Tuesday). I sent Megan an additional text to explain and apologized that I just realized that. She never responded back after my multiple texts. In fact, Megan never showed up, texted, called, messaged through this platform about the dates she committed to. I was waiting it out to see if I would hear from her after she didn’t show up on 8/15, and because she didn’t show when I assumed she would, I had to cancel my plans and a ticket wasted for the show I was supposed to go to. With Megan being a no-show on 8/15, I assumed the same thing would happen on 8/18. So I was scrambling to get a sitter for that day and I was not successful so I canceled those plans too. Moral of the story and a huge suggestion for Megan and those like her - families post jobs because they need the help. Families depend on people like you. When committing to dates, please know that I depend on you to be there and at the very least, if you can no longer do those dates or no longer interested in the job - all it takes is one text or one phone call to let me know.
