About Meghan

Hello! My name is Meghan and I am currently working on a grant as an English Teacher with the Spanish Ministry of Education in Palma de Mallorca--my school is a private Catholic school and I work in the primary school (ages 4 to 13). I graduated from the University of Mary Washington in 2010 with a B. A. International Affairs and B. A. Political Science. While at Mary Wash, I babysat for a wonderful family--it began with one 2-year-old girl 50% of the time and the other 50% the cousins were in town (2-year-old, 5-year-old, 7-year-old). Then we welcomed another little girl and our crew became a fivesome! I have accompanied the family on vacations, done many overnights, have transported the kids from Fredericksburg to D. C., have done sitting for large parties. A lot of kids and a lot of chaos, doesn't scare me! While in college, I devoted all of my extra time to this one family, but in high school, I had a more varied experience. I will be returning to my parents' home in Virginia Beach on June 2nd and would be available to work any schedule on Monday June 6th. I am up for a great internship in Congress beginning in September, so this would be a summer position. I have my own transportation. I have lived in Virginia Beach my entire life. I know the Hampton Roads area extremely well. I believe that every day is an opportunity to learn. I am fluent in Spanish. I love children and am extremely organized. My brother and sister will tell you that I cook well. And I am ready for a challenge!
