My experience caring for seniors began with my two grandmothers, whom I helped care for alongside my parents during their terminal illnesses. After moving to New York, I continued that passion by volunteering in a Friendly Visiting program. I enjoy building genuine relationships through conversation, walks, games, and shared stories. I also help with errands, appointments, paperwork, reminders, and light household tasks so seniors can maintain their independence and families can have peace of mind. I'm currently pursuing a degree at Hunter College to become a licensed mental health counselor. Having lived in several countries, I'm comfortable connecting with people from many backgrounds and believe everyone deserves to feel heard, respected, and valued.

Mehvish has been a volunteer with my organization, Heights and Hills, since 2024 where she is a "friendly visitor" to an older adult. Mehvish spends dedicated time with her friend running errands, chatting, eating, and overall spending quality time together. Her friend speaks nothing of praises for Mehvish and so does me and Heights and Hills.
