About Melanie

I have been an ELA grades 4-college tutor, a math grades 4-6 since 2005, and an acting and drama tutor/coach grades 9-professional for 10 years. I earned my MFA in Acting from The Actors Studio Drama School (magna cum laude) in 2014 and my BA in English and Theater. Additionally, I worked in the Writing Center at BSU tutoring college students experiencing a variety of learning challenges, such as significant emotional trauma, several neurodivergent variations, mental illnesses, developmental delays, language and socio-cultural barriers, learning disabilities, and physical disabilities. I believe it's my background in theater that has taught me to be resourceful in meeting my students where they are, and finding the best approach for helping them achieve their goals.
