Hello! My name is Mel and I'm currently looking for a full time, long term nanny position. I've been a full time nanny for 4 families (that I met here on Care) over the last 10+ years. Due to a sudden change in jobs, my current family no longer requires a nanny for 40 hours per week. I've been with them since their first born was 3 months old, so I have plenty of newborn and toddler experience. (Current ages 2. 5 and 4 months). Past responsibilities have included everything from changing diapers to high school soccer practice carpools. I. e. anything baby related, grocery shopping, cooking, laundry, light housekeeping, homework help, trying to win toddler arguments, and spoiling the dogs! (Sorry, I'm allergic to cats.) I've lived in Brookfield with my husband and our two dogs for 9 years. I love to cook, garden, snowmobile, ATV, and relax on our boat. I have had the pleasure of hiring Mel for date nights and overnight stays with our newborn son.Mel is an exceptional caregiver. She is extremely caring, dependable, loyal and trustworthy. I am a new, first time mom and very hesitant on who I leave our son with. I never have had any worries leaving him with Mel. She is a true professional and I know he is always in great hands with her. In addition to her care-giving skills and experience, she is an amazing housekeeper and cook. She prepares healthy and tasty meals for my husband and I and always cleans and picks up the house without even asking. I 10/10 recommend Mel!

I can confidently say that I trust Mel with my children, dog and our home. She has a very nurturing personality and taking care of others comes so naturally to her. During gatherings, she's always the one to step up and coordinate the event and she does it all with a huge smile. She is very organized, detail oriented, creative and manages everything with such ease. I often come to her for advice, tips, and delicious family recipes because she always seems to know the answers! She is someone that will bend over backwards to help others and genuinely enjoys giving to other people. She also is someone that knows what to do in tricky situations, which is why I trust her 100% with my children. I know that she'll always make the right decision and she has a great intuition. With her extensive background in childcare, there is no doubt she is one of the best care givers. She always knows what's best for the children and always gives 100%. LOVE LOVE Mel!  She has been with our family since Feb 2014 and if it wasn't for an out of state move ... we would not be letting her go.  Mel is VERY dependable. She fits in with the family and is an extension. My boys LOVE her! When we get home from work, we are quick to let her go so she can start her evening...but, she never runs out the door (like its a job to her). She is patient and a very caring person. She reminds us of appointments, school commitments, practices etc so we never miss a thing. She always send us pictures of the kids, so, we don't miss a thing...she texts us things the kids have done or said so can smile and be engaged. We also have two small dogs  - she has generously driven them to vet appointments, groomers, pet suites (drop off / pick up)...heck, she even cleans their back end on a regular basis with out asking - what I am saying is, she loves even our dogs and takes care of the little fur balls every day.  She stays on top of the laundry for the kids and if is quick to prep a healthy meal when we get busy.  She is a very thoughtful and caring person! Melissa has been a close friend of mine throughout the majority of my life. She is one of the most wonderful individuals that I have ever had the privilege to know. People of all ages- children, elderly, etc, have always been drawn to her because of her vivacious personality and her genuine care for others. She has a certain aura about her. Melissa has nannied and babysat for multiple families throughout the years, and for children of all ages and genders. I feel as though she touches the lives of each child she encounters, they adore her! Melissa is also one of the most mature and responsible adults I know. At the young age of 22, she is a home owner, a dog mom of two, and holds down a serious relationship. She balances everything in her life with extreme ease and grace, and never lets the pressure of life enter her line of work. She is meticulous and extremely oriented. Melissa's love and passion for children is unparalleled to anything I have ever seen. She would be a lovely addition to any family as a care provider.

Per my husband's job, we travel to several different states.  We spent two years in Wisconsin and during that time, we stumbled upon Mel through a friend of a friend.  Mel helped us with our two boys (ages two and five) and provided a much needed friendship for myself, considering my husband worked out of town a lot.  In addition to babysitting and companionship, she helped dog sit our two Boxers. Not only did she coddle the boys, but our pups as well! During that time, Mel even traveled with us some. Mel was, and still is, considered family.  My husband, myself and our two boys absolutely adore her.  She has a hard-to-find and much appreciated enthusiasm. Another attribute of Mel is her compassionate personality.  Any time she watched the boys, she gave them her undivided attention, as well as took them to explore the city - she never just watched the boys, she always had an adventure planned making even a mundane stay in the hotel fun.  She treated them as her own! Before we left for the season, Mel took the boys on a zoo trip, just because, with her own time and on her own dime. And as a parting gift, she gave me something I'll treasure forever, a photo book of all of the time we spent together.  You see, she was much better at recording memories than I was.  Mel was a much needed blessing in our house and I'm sure will be in any house to come!
