About Melissa

Hi! My name is Melissa and I am a mom of a teenager and recently retired after over 20 years. I have plenty of experience raising my own daughter and have so much empathy for parents returning to work and entrusting someone to care for their child, as I felt that deeply with my own. I'd describe myself as loving, reliable, trustworthy. I love working with kids because when my child was born, I felt so grounded and knew on a deeper level I was meant to work with kids someday. I'm looking to help families with all of the responsibilities working parents have to balance. I started working with kids when I was 15 yrs old when I took care of my infant/toddler nieces for the summer. I loved it and we are still very close! In my spare time, I like to walk, bike, hike, swim, read, do sports with my daughter, spend time with family. One thing you should know about me is I am very loving and maternal. My skills include nurturing development, literacy, independent play and being active.
