About Melissa

I provide supportive and attentive child care with a focus on working with deaf and hard-of-hearing children, including children who use hearing aids or cochlear implants (CI). As someone who is hard of hearing, I understand the importance of patience, clear communication, and creating a comfortable environment where children feel understood and supported. I can provide basic American Sign Language (ASL) support, communication assistance, homework help, and engaging activities in a visual and encouraging environment. I am also open to supporting families with both deaf and hearing children to help encourage communication and connection within the home. I aim to provide dependable, patient, and individualized care that supports each child's unique needs.
