About Melissa

I'm a caring, patient, and fun person who genuinely enjoys working with kids. I love their childlike energy and getting to match that energy while finding new ways to learn, play, and entertain each other. I started working with children professionally in August 2025, and before that I babysat my younger sister and neighbors' kids. I currently work full-time Monday-Friday from 8 AM-4 p.m. with children on the autism spectrum, where I've developed strong skills in patience, communication, following routines, keeping children engaged, and providing individualized support based on each child's needs. I'm looking for a part-time or after-school babysitting opportunity where I can use those skills to help children feel safe, comfortable, and supported while still having fun. Outside of work, I enjoy thrifting, going to the gym, listening to music, cooking, and watching movies.
