About Melissa

I have over 18+ years of childcare experience under my belt. My passion for childcare first began as a young teen when I was the go-to babysitter for the children that attended my mom's in-home daycare. I learned a lot from watching my mom care for the kids in our home and it only felt natural to follow in her footsteps. At age 16, I started working at an early learning center where I remained at for the next 3. 5 years until I was accepted into the dental hygiene program at Baker College. After college graduation, I became a nanny for 2 young toddlers whom I cared for over the next year until beginning my career as a dental hygienist in 2013. Aligning with my passion for children, my time as a dental hygienist has been spent specifically in pediatric dentistry. I've taken a step back from my career this year to focus on becoming a new mom and hope to dip my toe back into childcare part-time. I look forward to chatting soon! :)
