About Melissa

It was almost in my DNA to care for others. My mother worked as a CNA throughout my childhood and I grew up in a multi-generational home where everyone looked after each other. After relocating to New York in 2009 from Pennsylvania, I pursued my desire to work with the elderly as a recreational therapist in a nursing home setting, where I kept residents involved and stimulated through daily activities and companionship. Wanting to continue to help serve the seniors in my community, I joined an agency as a caregiver where I helped bring comfort into the lives of people who would otherwise be home bound. In the beginning of the year, I decided to move back to PA, to be closer to my mother and family. I currently work as an office manager in a home care agency on the Main Line, but I am looking for a part time position so I can continue with my passion of enriching the quality of life of seniors, one on one in my community.
