I am full-time volunteer as an animal rescuer, foster, and pet consultant to help provide pet parents with advice and tips on caring for their furry family. I am part of a local cat rescue, Purrs and Whiskers. We are a certified non-profit in NYS. We run a volunteer based Trap-Neuter-Release program as well as care for local cat colonies with feeding schedules and documentation I have been a Veterinary assistant and an educator/assistant to senior zoo keepers at our local zoo. I originally wanted to go to school to be a vet, but I decided my heart may not be able to handle the frequency of sad moments and chose volunteering my time and helping educate the public instead. We have 6 cats of our own and an enclosed sun room where we rehabilitate strays or injured cats until they're ready to be adopted.
